A foresight solution
She wears a bicycle helmet, after she banged her head on a branch. She ties a bell to her tail, after she crashed into a rhino. She starts to wear boots, after she hurt her foot on a rock. Not to stop with that, she adds a pillow, an inflatable ring and a ladder one by one, after every crash, until she looks ..... yes, super silly.
Now, some other animal has to point to her what she really needs - a pair of glasses. Does she accept it? Does she look cool with it?
My Comments:
Repetitive storytelling and fun, when mixed together, never misses to cheer the target audience. This Giraffe is, too, sure to amuse the kids, with a simple straight message (Wearing glasses makes you efficient and good, in case if you need one).
The bright and cheerful illustrations make a perfect pair to the funny and jovial narration. Also, the feel-good factor of the story, when every animal in the forest encourages Giraffe to wear glasses, is the real plus of this book, (My elder son wears glasses, and so I wished that the book should not have any negative comments about wearing glasses).
Whether or not, you have a kid, who cringes over the thought of wearing glasses, this book will cheer every kid equally.
